Ingredients:
1 tbsp finely grated onion
⅓ cup granulated sugar
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup well-shaken buttermilk
¼ cup whole milk
1½ tbsp white vinegar
2½ tbsp fresh lemon juice
½ tsp salt
⅛ tsp ground black pepper
8 cups finely chopped green cabbage (about 1 head)
¼ cup finely shredded carrot
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Vegetables:
Finely chop the cabbage and shred the carrot. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
2. Make the Dressing:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, mayonnaise, buttermilk, milk, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
3. Combine:
Pour the dressing over the chopped cabbage and carrot. Mix thoroughly until the vegetables are evenly coated.
4. Chill:
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best) to let the flavors meld together.
5. Serve:
Give the coleslaw a good stir before serving and enjoy that class
