 Loaded Cheesy Pocket Tacos

Ingredients:

– For the Taco Filling:

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 small onion, chopped

– 1 green bell pepper, chopped

– 1 packet taco seasoning

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of your choice)

– 1 cup shredded lettuce

– 1 tomato, diced

– Sour cream (optional, for serving)

– Salsa (optional, for serving)


– For the Taco Shells:

– 1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pizza dough)

– Cooking spray or oil (for greasing)


Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).


2. Prepare the Taco Filling:

– In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and green bell pepper until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain excess fat.

– Add the taco seasoning according to the package instructions and stir to combine. Remove from heat.


3. Prepare the Taco Shells:

– Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles (or roll out the pizza dough and cut into rounds).

– Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or oil.


4. Assemble the Tacos:

– Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto the wide end of each triangle (or round).

– Sprinkle with shredded cheese.

– Roll the dough over the filling, starting from the wide end and tucking in the sides as you roll.

– Place the filled tacos on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.


5. Bake:

– Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.


6. Serve:

– Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

– Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and any additional toppings you desire, such as sour cream and salsa.
