These Salted Caramel Bites are a quick and easy snack that’s dangerously addictive. Perfectly coated oyster crackers are baked in a rich, buttery caramel and finished with a sprinkle of kosher salt. The result? A crunchy, sweet-and-salty treat that’s perfect for parties, movie nights, or edible gifting!


Ingredients

4 cups oyster crackers

3/4 cup butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla paste or extract

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Spread the oyster crackers in an even layer across the baking sheet.

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add brown sugar and vanilla. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Stir continuously for 3–4 minutes until it’s bubbly and lighter in color.

Immediately pour the caramel over the crackers and gently toss with a rubber spatula to coat evenly.

Sprinkle kosher salt over the top of the coated crackers.

Bake for 8–10 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.

Let cool completely before breaking into clusters and serving or storing.

Tips & Variations

Add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of cayenne for a fun flavor twist.

Once cooled, drizzle with melted chocolate for an extra indulgent treat.

Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
