They don’t call this thing “heaven in a bowl” for nothin’! It’s got layers and layers of the tastiest treats you could find. This is great for parties, Halloween, dessert after a big dinner party or just for 1 very lonely, sad person. However, if you decide to eat this, grab a bib first! It could get messy! Here we go:

Can there really be such a thing? Heaven in a bowl? I did actually research this dilemma only to find that it is true. There really is heaven in a bowl. It involves some of my very favorite treat ingredients and it is all in one delightful dish. Having it in one dish saves me from embarrassment,


Ingredients

1 Pkg.Of Fudge Brownie Mix.

2 Pkgs.Of Miniature Reeses.

4 Cups.Of Cold Milk; preferably 2%.

2 Pkgs.Of instant vanilla pudding.

1 Cup.Of creamy Peanut butter.

4 Tsp.Of Vanilla extract.

Thawed cool whip; I used 2 cans.Of 8-oz.

How To Make Heaven In A bowl

1st Step


To make the brownie batter, just follow the directions on the box. Then, pour the batter into a 12×9-inch pan that has been buttered.


2nd Step


Set oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes. When a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs, the cake is baking.


3rd Step


Put it on a wire rack to cool once you’ve taken it out of the oven. When cool, slice into 3-quarter-inch-thick slices. The peanut butter cups should be halved and used as a garnish. Place aside.


4th Step


In a large bowl, beat the pudding with the milk for 2 minutes. A thick mixture is the desired consistency. Put in the vanilla extract and peanut butter. And combine thoroughly. Mix in 1 1/2 cups of whipped topping.


5th Step


Place one-third of the brownies in a glass dish that holds 5 quarts. Top with the remaining peanut butter cups and a third of the pudding.


6th Step


Layer it again, and again. Finally, sprinkle the remaining topping and the saved peanut butter cups on top. Put in the refrigerator for a few minutes to chill before serving.

4. Add remaining ingredients (except cheese):

Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, rice, broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.



5. Simmer:

Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20–25 minutes (stir occasionally) until the rice is tender and most liquid is absorbed.



6. Add cheese & bake (optional):

If using an oven-safe skillet, sprinkle cheese on top and transfer to oven. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

 The key ingredients in this recipe are going to be the angel food cake mix, pistachio pudding mix, and a can of crumbled pineapple. You’ll mix those together with three eggs and a half cup of vegetable oil and your batter is ready for baking. If you’re using a standard 9×13 baking dish then the cake will cook for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool and then whip our simple pistachio frosting! Cool whip, another pudding mix, and a splash of milk come together to create this topping and it couldn’t be more heavenly. It’s seriously hard to resist eating it with the spoonful!


Ingredients

1 box angel food cake

1 3.4oz box pistachio pudding mix

½ cup vegetable oil

3 eggs

20 oz can crushed pineapple with juices

FROSTING :


8 oz tub cool whip, thawed

⅔ cup whole milk

1 3.4oz box pistachio pudding Pistachios, chopped for decoration

How To Make Pistachio Pineapple Cake 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×13 baking dish. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, pudding mix, oil, eggs, and pineapple with juices. Beat until well combined. Transfer batter to the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until an inserted tooth pick comes out clean. Allow cake to cool. To make the frosting: Mix together the second pudding mix and milk until the mixture thickens. Fold in the cool whip until fully combined. Frost cake and chill for 2 hours before serving. Top with chopped pistachios if desired.

Talk about a highly decadent flavor! This Company Chicken Casserole is the bomb! You are going to love the hint of sweet, the hint of savory. This is the perfect weeknight dish and is also perfect for the weekend.

My Company Chicken Casserole is one of those kinds of dishes that you cook when you need some good old fashioned comfort food. It’s creamy, it’s warm, and it hits all the right spots. This casserole dish is fairly easy and inexpensive, and is fabulous to serve for the family, or when you have company over. I grew up eating this Chicken Casserole, and it was always a hit. It is titled “Company Chicken Casserole” because it was often a dish my mom made when we had company over.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless Chicken breasts

1 cup chicken broth

2 garlic cloves, freshly minced

1 small onion, cut into wedges, use 2 wedges

4 cups Herb flavored Stuffing mix

4 tbsp butter

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 pint sour cream

8 ounces broccoli florets, frozen, but thawed

How To Make Company Chicken Casserole

In a large pan on the stove, pour in the chicken broth, minced garlic and onion.

Place the chicken on top of that mix and allow to come to a boil

Once it reaches the boiling point, reduce the heat to medium low and cover to cook for 20 minutes

Remove the chicken from the broth and shred each piece. Set to the side, save the broth for later

Melt the butter and pour it over the stuffing mix in a bowl. Mix together in a large saucepan

Mix the sour cream and saved chicken broth with a hand mixer, add in the cream of chicken soup

Place the stuffing mix at the bottom of a casserole dish and place the chicken on top of the stuffing

Then layer the broccoli on top of the chicken

Pour the combined soup mixture over the top and spread a little of the stuffing mix over the top

Bake in a preheated oven at 350* for 30 minutes

Preheat a griddle, or a large skillet, to medium heat. (If using a skillet, you will most likely have to work in batches.) Carefully move the patties to the griddle or skillet. Sear the patties for 3 minutes per side.


Once you have flipped the patties over, place an equal portion of caramelized onions on top of each patty, spreading them out so the onions cover the meat entirely. Layer one slice of American cheese and one slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty. Continue to cook until the hamburger patty has cooked for at least 6 minutes, total.

Now carefully move each loaded hamburger patty to the slices of bread with the mustard on top.


Wipe off the griddle with a paper towel. (It’s best to use a spatula to move the paper towel around the griddle, so you don’t burn your fingers.)


Now place 2 tablespoons of butter on the griddle and spread it around to cover the surface. Place the stacked patty melts on the griddle, and cover with the additional slices of bread.


Toast the bread for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown. Turn the heat down to medium-low if needed and watch them carefully.


Once they are ready to flip, add the final 2 tablespoons of butter to the griddle. Flip the patty melts over as the butter melts. Toast for another 2 to 3 minutes to make sure the second side is perfectly toasted.


Flip the patty melts onto a cutting board, making sure the cheese is on top of the patties. Cut them in half and serve immediately.

Comforting Chicken & Noodles Crock Pot:

This is an incredible Crock Pot meal. Not only is it hearty, rich and delicious, but it’s also so easy to prepare. Cooking the chicken low and slow for several hours makes it tender and flavorful. The noodles take on the flavor of the chicken and the creamy soup to make the whole pot irresistible. Even your pickiest eater will clean their plate. This is soon to become a new family favorite!


I absolutely love this recipe! I’ve always made it according to the recipe (I always add a bag of mixed veggies, too). Last week I made it with both white and dark meat. My store was out of frozen noodles, but right next to that sad, empty space was a bag of cheese ravioli. Now, I’m a recipe follower, so even this caused me a little angst! But it was wonderful!! They didn’t absorb as much liquid as the noodles, and it was creamy and delicious! It reminded me of a pot pie without crust.


Ingredients

2 can cream of chicken soup

2 can chicken broth (15oz each)

1 stick butter or margarine

1 lb chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)

1 packages frozen egg noodles (24 oz) I used Reames.

How To Make Comforting Chicken & Noodles Crock Pot

In crockpot put chicken on bottom. Pour the chicken broth and soup on top. Then top that with the stick of butter. Put the crockpot on low for 6-7 hours.

Take the chicken out and shred. Put back in crockpot.

Add the frozen noodles and cook for 2 more hours. (I stir every 30 minutes until done.

Cajun Corn On The Cob

Ingredients

4 ears of corn husked

2 tablespoon olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

4 tablespoon mayonnaise i used vegan mayo

⅓ cup sour cream or Mexican crema

1 ½ teaspoon cajun spice

1 ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon cilantro chopped

½ cup feta or cotija crumbled

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 teaspoon chipotle or chili powder optional

How To Make Cajun Corn On The Cob

Oil and spices. In a small bowl, whisk olive oil, half of the cajun spice, half of the paprika spice, garlic and onion powder, salt, pepper to taste.

It is fine if you have extra oil-spices mixture left, you can brush the corn later, right before brushing with the mayo sauce.Place each cob on a piece of foil. Brush each corn generously with the mixture. Wrap in foil.


Transfer the corn to the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 425 F. If you like the corn to be softer, remove it from the oven after 30 minutes, brush it with more oil-spice mixture and bake another 20-25 minutes.


While cajun corn on the cob is baking, prepare the mayo sauce. In a medium bowl, mix mayo, sour cream, leftover cajun and paprika, lime juice (or squeeze it later directly on the corn as needed), salt, and pepper to taste.


Take the corn out from the oven, let cool slightly and brush with leftover oil mixture (optional) and finally mayo mix all over the corn. (If you want to get the corn slightly charred without using a grill, a grill pan would be a great option here. Transfer the baked corn directly to a lightly greased grill pan and let all the sides grilled until the desired result, don’t overcook it though!).

Top with crumbled feta or cotija cheese, chopped cilantro, cajun spice. Serve warm

For the Meat Sauce:


1 lb ground beef


1 lb Italian sausage (mild or sweet)


1 small onion, diced


3 cloves garlic, minced


1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce

2 tsp Italian seasoning


Salt and pepper to taste



For the Cheese Layer:


1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened


1 ½ cups ricotta cheese


1 cup sour cream


1 egg

Other Layers:


9–12 lasagna noodles (regular or oven-ready)


3–4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1. Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C).



2. Cook the Meat Sauce:

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, sausage, and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Stir in garlic, marinara, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.



3. Mix the Cheese Filling:

In a large bowl, blend cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, egg, Parmesan, and parsley until smooth.



4. Cook Lasagna Noodles (if not using oven-ready):

Boil in salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Scalloped Potatoes are an easy classic recipe, perfect for your Easter dinner, Christmas, Thanksgiving or even just for Sunday dinner.

Specifically, these scalloped potatoes (which are technically potatoes au gratin). In my humble opinion, they are simply the best. And in the years since I originally posted this recipe here on the blog, thousands of you have also tried them and agreed! So today, I thought I’d bump this recipe back to the top of the stack for those of you who might be new to the blog and looking for a tried and true recipe to make this weekend. As someone who has made these dozens and dozens of times, I can vouch — they won’t let you down.


Ingredients

4cups thinly sliced potatoes

3tablespoons butter

3tablespoons flour

1 1⁄2cups milk

1teaspoon salt

1dash cayenne pepper

1cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

1⁄2cup grated cheese, to sprinkle on top

How To Make Scalloped Potatoes

In a small sauce pan, melt butter and blend in flour.

Let sit for a minute.

Add all of cold milk, stirring with a whisk.

Season with salt and cayenne.

Cook sauce on low until smooth and boiling, stirring occasionally with a whisk.

Reduce heat and stir in cheese.

Place a half of the sliced potatoes in a lightly greased one quart casserole dish.

Pour half of cheese sauce over potatoes.

Repeat with second layer of potatoes and cheese sauce.

Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

Top with some paprika for color.

Bake uncovered for about 1 hour at 350°F.
